About Tim Berta
Tim Berta is a 2003 graduate of Ida high school in Ida, Michigan. He graduated in the top ten academically in his class and also played football, basketball, and baseball. He was recruited to play football by Bluffton University.
While at Bluffton, he was a biology major. Upon graduating, he planned to transfer those credits to become a nurse and eventually get a Master degree in nursing. While at Bluffton, he played football and baseball for 2 years. He became a student coach for the baseball team after those two years while continuing to play football.
His senior year, Tim was involved in a terrible bus accident with the Bluffton University baseball team in Atlanta, Georgia on March 2, 2007. The bus driver, his wife, and five of his teammates were killed and Tim suffered catastrophic, permanent, and life altering injuries.
Tim continues to defy the odds and live a life honoring his fallen teammates.
